Since fall is officially here, let's take a look back at summer 2022!

1 | Move to Georgia

We kicked off the season with our move to Georgia. I actually don't mind (and secretly enjoy 🫣) packing and unpacking my belongings. It gives me the chance to reassess and reset. But after having two out-of-state moves in less than two years, I'm thrilled to be stable for the moment.

2 | Mexico

We visited Los Cabos, Mexico for the first time for a quick vacation! We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva, an all-inclusive resort on the tip of the Baja California Peninsula. Ironically, our favorite restaurant was Bon Vivant, the French restaurant on the property.

The highlight of the trip was the 2.5-hour sailing tour we took along the Cabo coastline and into the Pacific Ocean. The ocean was rough, and the crew raised the mainsail, which made sailing more exhilirating than relaxing. But we reached the calmer Sea of Cortez in time to view the sunset against the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas.

3 | Music

I'm trying to make up for lost time by going to all the concerts I missed in 2020 and 2021. We took my mom to see some of her favorite gospel artists (Marvin Sapp, Erica Campbell, Regina Belle, Kelly Price, and Donnie McClurkin) at the Fox Theatre. I forgot how stunning this venue is.

A few months later, we went to the Cincinnati Music Festival and saw Janet Jackson headline. She looked and sounded incredible. No pictures because I was trying to keep up with Janet and her dancers.
